Limited food and drink menu because there was a bandβ¦β¦ we were there 2 hours before the band started, and a lot of bars/restaurants have bands and do not change the menu. No mention of a limited drinks/menu online, on Facebook, or anywhere. We went for the restaurant, not the band, so it would have been nice to know that ahead of time. There is a drinks menu online, but we could not get any of them. βIt is an event night,β so is tomorrow and next weekend and basically every weekend in July. If that is the case advertise it as that with the limited drinks and food menu. No waitstaff, we had to order at a counter and then wait to go pick it up ourselves by reading the receipt taped to the box. Food was served in To-go containers. The Korean Fried Chicken was good, but we did not get the sauces or sides advertised on the menuβ¦.. because it is an event night!! And they are not able to put sauce in a dish to serve like the menu says. Menu also says it comes with a small soft serve, which we did not get. Messed up the ordering and didnβt make a whole meal we ordered. They put the person behind me on my receipt, so he didnβt get any of his food. Staff seemed very overwhelmed, like it was

Such a nice cafe inside the Goggle Worksβ¦The atmosphere is cool industrial yet artsy while the service is welcoming, friendly and prompt. The menus has some nice creative food and what we had was very good. Portion size is average and price point is as well. This is a very nice restaurant to enjoy some good food. Plenty of seating inside and outsideβ¦and at a beautiful bar!

Was at a meeting here and needed a bit to eat. Wow. What a great vibe and good food. Had the tacos and coleslaw. Love that they put out water for easy access. Would never think to find a place like this in Reading. Def worth a visit.

Tried Thorn Alley Kitchen at GoogleWorks for lunch and it did not disappoint! We decided to share a sampling of dishes so we could try a bit of everything: Kimchi Arancini, Shredded Cabbage & Chicken Salad, Korean Fried Chicken, Smash Burger, and Sweet Potato Tacos. The standout was definitely the Korean Fried Chicken absolutely delicious and 100% talk-about-worthy. Perfectly crispy, flavorful, and something Iβd go back for on its own. Everything else was fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was great too! relaxed, modern, and a really nice place to sit and enjoy a meal. Also really appreciated how many gluten-free options were available, itβs great to see a menu thatβs so accommodating without sacrificing flavor and taste. Overall, a fantastic new addition to the lunch scene in Berks County. Looking forward to going back!

The food is honestly fantastic. Elevated but chill, maybe the best grill cheese I ever had. The staff and atmosphere are great as well. Very exciting new place to eat in Reading. There are some beautiful artist made serving boards here too....π
